Disqus, pronounced "discuss", is a service and tool for web comments and discussions. Disqus makes commenting easier and more interactive, while connecting websites and commenters across a thriving discussion community. Turn your website into a social community with a couple of clicks!

Unsure of what it is: have a quick look at, for example http://cnn.com, click on any article and scroll down. Here you will see Disqus in action.

Disqus can be attached to any of your web pages.

How to:

1) Sign up for Disqus: https://disqus.com/admin/signup/

Provide a username, email address and a password and press ‘continue registration’

On the next page, provide a name for your website, a shortname and choose a category.

Press ‘finish registration’.  You’re done here. The next page you can forget, as vBase will do it for you.

In the mean time, you will have gotten an email to confirm your registration. You need to press ‘Activate my account’, which brings you to a web page where you have to click ‘done’.

2) Let vBase know what you Disqus ‘shortname’ is.  Login to your site, go to ‘Admin’ and choose Meta Data. Fill in your ‘shortname’  and click ‘Update’.  Reload your website after this (important).

3) Choose pages to attach Disqus to

Login > Admin > Pages and select the page(s) here. After that, click ‘Update

You are done! You might have to refresh the current page to see it in effect.

Pages with Disqus will have a little text bubble with a comment counter in it.
